Their design integrates the natural growth patterns of the tree into every aspect, from the building’s distinctive silhouettes to its eco-friendly features, offering guests an immersive blend of luxury and sustainability.

The building’s shell features sculpted concrete that incorporates fly ash, reducing water usage significantly. Its signature eye-shaped windows serve dual purposes—providing natural cooling and functioning as streamlined rainwater gutters. These windows also offer breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains and Denver’s cityscape, enhancing the guest experience by connecting them with the natural beauty outside.
Sustainability extends beyond architecture in Populus’s operational philosophy. The hotel encourages visitors to embrace Denver’s public transit or simply explore on foot since no parking facilities are included within its premise. This strategy aligns with the hotel’s ethos of environmental consciousness, further bolstered by 7,000 tons of certified carbon credits, marking it as the nation’s first carbon-positive hotel.
