Private social and dining clubs are becoming increasingly popular, and a new establishment set to open this fall in Milan is a testament to this trend. The exclusive venue, known as the Wilde, is designed by celebrated designer Fabrizio Casiraghi. Located in the upscale Brera district, the club occupies the former villa of a high-profile CEO, offering a unique blend of luxury and comfort. Casiraghi’s approach reflects his intent to create a home-like atmosphere that encourages members and visitors to feel completely at ease.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Architect: Fabrizio Casiraghi
Location: Brera district, Milan
Furniture Designers: Arjumand’s World, Neoz, Wittmann
Featured Restaurants: Ava, Nina
Textile Designs: Loro Piana, Pierre Frey, Arjumand’s World
Casiraghi has meticulously designed each floor of the building to resemble a private wing of a family residence, promoting an inviting environment. He aims to create spaces that naturally encourage people to linger from morning until night, making them feel as if they are in a familiar setting. His design philosophy shines in various sections of the club, including its two restaurants—one Latin American-themed, the other Mediterranean—and several all-day dining areas situated in distinct spaces such as a club room, library, and garden.
Each dining area is distinct and carries its own atmosphere. The Ava restaurant, for instance, features a ceiling adorned with a floral motif and seating upholstery from renowned fabric brands. Casiraghi deliberately uses the ceiling as a pivotal design element to give every floor its own unique identity. The Mediterranean-inspired Nina restaurant contributes to the club’s diverse culinary offerings, making it a destination not just for relaxation, but for a multifaceted dining experience as well.
The library area further exemplifies Casiraghi’s design prowess, boasting walls clad in wood panels and featuring textiles from a prominent Milanese designer. A particularly cozy nook in the library is enveloped in a rich, golden velvet, complemented by striking artwork. This space, complete with a travertine fireplace, offers an intimate setting ideal for unwinding with friends. Another standout feature is the club room, where a Mondrian-inspired ceiling takes center stage, providing a vibrant backdrop to a marble DJ station.
Moreover, the Wilde isn’t limited to dining and lounging; it offers a comprehensive range of programs for its members. From film screenings and spa treatments to exclusive guest lectures, the club is designed to be a versatile venue catering to a wide range of interests. The inclusion of these features ensures that members have access to diverse experiences beyond gastronomic indulgence, fostering a holistic sense of community and engagement within the club.
With plans to expand to major cities like New York, London, and Los Angeles, the Wilde is poised to take its innovative concept of private social and dining clubs beyond Milan. The team behind this venture, led by a visionary leadership, is keen on creating spaces that combine sophistication with comfort worldwide. This expansion plan speaks to the growing demand for such exclusive venues globally, demonstrating that the allure of a thoughtfully curated social environment resonates with people around the world.
