Collaborative Designer: Christos Prevezanos

Street Artist: Chris “Daze” Ellis
Upon entering, visitors are greeted by the Salon d’Exploration, a dynamic showcase for Lalique’s latest collections. At this first floor, guests encounter the house’s signature blend of heritage and innovation. The space features an awe-inspiring Hirondelles chandelier set against a creative backdrop crafted by the collaboration of Artistic and Creative Director Marc Larminaux and Christos Prevezanos of Studio Preveza. Here, Prevezanos has skillfully integrated Lalique’s furniture, lighting, and tabletop designs to offer a mesmerizing spatial experience.

Ascending to the second floor, the jewelry salon delights visitors with a high-jewelry necklace inspired by the Manhattan skyline—crafted in white gold and diamonds, a nod to the brand’s exceptional craftsmanship. In this salon, the intricate collaborative wallpaper with design house Fromental serves as a captivating visual element. Adjacent to the salon is the Véranda Des Sens, showcasing Lalique’s rich history in perfumes and home fragrances, rounding out a sensory experience that’s as stimulating to the eyes as it is to the nose.

The visual journey continues on the third floor, where the Lalique Art Gallery features exclusive collaborations with renowned artists like Damien Hirst, James Turrell, and Zaha Hadid. Complementing this high-art ambiance is the Véranda Des Sens, a tranquil space that invites visitors to sink into upholstered chairs by Martasala Éditions while contemplating these works. Filled with light and heritage motifs in various scales, this floor presents a balanced harmony of art across multiple mediums.

The pièce de résistance lies on the fourth floor, where an opulent bar and lounge area resonate with an Art Deco-inspired design that pays homage to the glamour of the Orient Express. Here, wines from the personal vineyards of Lalique Group Executive Chairman Silvio Denz sit alongside couture collaborative crystal bottles from esteemed spirit brands like MacCallan, Patron, and Hennessy. It’s an opportune setting not only for relaxation but also for prospective clients to work on bespoke commissions with the design studio in the dedicated workspace provided.

The new Lalique flagship is more than just a store; it’s an inspiring sanctuary where collectors and admirers can immerse themselves in the artistic journey of the Lalique brand. From a hand-painted mural by iconic street artist Chris “Daze” Ellis to the curated interiors that narrate René Lalique’s legacy, the Maison d’Artiste urges its visitors to dream. Here lies a remarkable testament to what an artist can achieve when his vision is pursued to the fullest, embodying the very spirit of New York’s indomitable creative soul.
