The Aarea collection offers versatility with three distinct styles: a work lounge, casual lounge, and conference chair. Each of these variations is designed to complement corporate interiors while offering efficient functionality. The project commenced in 2019, on the cusp of shifting workplace trends, where traditional desk-bound workstations became increasingly redundant amidst the rise of mobile technology and hybrid work schedules. Recognizing this, Aarea’s creators envisioned a seating line that was ergonomic yet contemporary, reflecting the hybrid nature of modern work apparel, akin to the athleisure movement.
Constructed from reclaimed marine plastic, the polyester mélange knit back of Aarea supports sustainability while offering flexibility that adapts to the user’s body contours. The design minimizes waste through precise fabrication, enhancing environmental consciousness without sacrificing comfort. Complemented by Luum upholstery for the cushioned seat, arm pads, and headrest, Aarea minimizes strain and maximizes ease over a day’s work. Available in a spectrum of 11 colors, users can personalize their seat to align with their workspace aesthetics.
