Swedish design studio Bernadotte & Kylberg, led by Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte and Oscar Kylberg, is redefining modern design by fusing antiquity with contemporary aesthetics. Their latest project, the Eriksberg Collection, showcases this philosophy through a series of elegant furniture pieces crafted with the finest local materials and exceptional Swedish craftsmanship.

The Eriksberg Collection comprises three key pieces: the Eriksberg Desk, Chair, and Cabinet. Designed specifically for the Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve, the collection embodies the serene beauty and biodiversity of one of Europe’s largest wildlife enclosures. Spanning over 900 hectares, the reserve allows deer, bison, and wild boar to roam freely, and these elements of nature are reflected in the craftsmanship and material choices of the furniture.
The collection prominently features solid oak, brass, and Bishop diabase, a rare type of stone with a fine-grained charcoal finish. This choice of materials speaks to the designers’ commitment to creating sustainable and timeless pieces. Oscar Kylberg highlights the uniqueness of the diabase, saying, ‘The diabase stone from Biskopsgården in Skåne impresses with its rarity and exceptional character.’
The Eriksberg Desk is a study in contrasts, balancing the cool tones of diabase with the warmth of oak. The stone accentuates the desk’s visual depth, while the brass details provide a touch of heritage and elegance. The inlay at the back offers both structural and aesthetic completion, enhancing the desk’s overall presence.
The Eriksberg Cabinet is a hallmark of refined luxury, paying homage to the celebratory furniture of bygone eras. Its minimalist design conceals a polished golden interior, reflecting heirlooms or glassware with precision. While the cabinet’s exterior maintains a reserved aesthetic, the brass pulls invite interaction, revealing the bespoke craftsmanship hidden within.
The Eriksberg Chair completes the collection with its sleek, minimalist appeal. The chair’s light frame and polished finish speak to modern design sensibilities, while tapered legs and back provide both style and function. The rectangular motifs on the back align with current design trends seen worldwide, from furniture showrooms to fashion runways. Brass accents on the legs add that final touch of elegance, ensuring the chair is a lasting piece of any collection.
For over a decade, Bernadotte & Kylberg have been merging innovative design with tradition for various brands. Their journey began with textiles, offering luxurious scarves and throws made from the finest silk and wool. With the launch of their own brand, they have expanded into handcrafted furniture and brassware, solidifying their reputation for creating sustainable, heirloom-quality designs.
The Eriksberg Collection is more than just furniture—it is a reflection of Nordic design principles, synthesizing nature, craftsmanship, and heritage into objects meant to stand the test of time.
